Rules & Conduct

VRPL runs on competition, not chaos. These rules exist so every match is decided by skill — and every player, caster, and fan can enjoy the league.

1 — General Conduct

Compete hard, respect harder. Harassment, hate speech, threats, or targeted abuse of any player, staff member, or community member — in matches, in Discord, or anywhere the league operates — is grounds for removal.

League staff decisions are final during active matches. Disputes are raised through the official channels after the match, not mid-game.

2 — Accounts & Eligibility

Registration runs through Discord. One league identity per player: alternate, duplicate, or ban-evading accounts are prohibited, and the league employs verification measures to detect them. Accounts found evading bans or misrepresenting identity are removed, and the associated Discord accounts are barred from registration.

3 — Teams & Rosters

Captains create teams and are responsible for them — roster validity, match scheduling, and their players' conduct. Players request to join a team; captains accept or decline. Once accepted, a player appears on the team's public roster on this site.

Roster locks, transfer windows, and minimum/maximum roster sizes are announced per season before registration opens.

4 — Content Standards: Logos, Names & Profiles

Team names, team logos, player names, and profile pictures are publicly displayed and must be appropriate for a broad audience. Content that is hateful, sexually explicit, illegal, or impersonates other teams, brands, or league staff will be removed without notice.

Repeat or egregious violations result in the responsible Discord account being banned from league registration.

5 — Fair Play

Cheating, exploiting, match-fixing, win-trading, or deliberate disconnects to manipulate outcomes carry the league's harshest penalties — up to permanent removal of players or entire teams. If you're unsure whether something is an exploit, ask staff before you use it.

6 — Enforcement

Penalties scale with severity: warnings, match forfeits, suspensions, removal from the league, and registration bans. League staff reserve final judgment on all rulings, including situations not explicitly covered here.

The full, current ruleset for each season is published before registration opens and supersedes this general document where they differ.

Questions about a ruling or the ruleset? Bring them to the official Discord — staff answer there, not in DMs.
